The Gatherings of Old
Below is a list of gatherings past too old to list in the previous gatherings page.
December 2005 - Cancelled. Due to festive merriment with family and friends, the December gathering has been cancelled.
November 2005 - Perceptions of the Goddess Workshop. Here we have the opportunity to look at the female half of the divine with a unique opportunity to create your own interpretation of the Goddess through clay in our Goddess Statue Making Workshop.
October 2005 - An Evening of Samhain Entertainment. Join us in answering questions from the "Quizzical Couldron of Destiny", the annual "Best Carved Pumpkin" competition and some apple bobbing. We will also have the usual array of Halloween goodies just in case we get any trick or treaters.
Septemer 2005 - Plague Pouches with Rue. There will be a brief chat about medievil medicine, the black death and the very unusual ways it was warded off followed by the chance to make your very own plague pouches 100% guaranteed to stop you duying of the plague (if you do die you get your money back).
August 2005 - Belly Dancing with Roz. An opportunity to learn some of the basic moves of belly dancing in a comfortable and friendly environment. Don't forget to bring a scarf and your wiggling hips of course!
July 2005 - Beginners Incence with Gypsie. An interesting insight into incense making and use by our resident expert Gypsie. Youy will also have a chance to make your own mix.
June 2005 - Postponed. Postponed due to the pub being shut - a relaxed social gathering in the pub next door instead.
May 2005 - Witchcraft Swap Shop. An opportunity to swap books, crystals, cards and jewellery with other people's unwanted goodies. One witch's rubbish is another's treasure.
April 2005 - Maypole Dancing and Beltane Discussion Evening. Join us in an evening discovering the origins and ritual associated with Beltane. The symbolism of Maypoles, head-dresses, May Queen and the Pagan roots of May Day with an opportunity to learn how to dance around the Maypole with others.
March 2005 - Oestara Egg Painting Competition & Discussion. Bring your decorated eggs and compete to win the title of "Egg of the Year". Learn and debate the origins and history behind this fertility festival and the Pagan roots of Easter.
February 2005 - Our 2nd Anniversary Party and Reflection Workshop. Come and help us celebrate two years of the gathering - a chance to eat, drink and be merry with the friends gained through the gathering. All are welcome. The evening also offers a chance to participate in a reflection exercise, focussing on the lessons we have learned in the past few years.
January 2005 - Witchcraft Themed Pub Quiz with Gypsie. Pub quiz styled questions based on popular culture, TV, radio, general knowledge and mythology.
December 2004 - Social Discussion Evening. Due to the proximity of the Yule holidays we are having a social evening with no fixed topic.
November 2004 - Introduction to Herb Craft with Rue. An introduction into the history of herbal medicine and the medical and magical used of some common native herbs.
October 2004 - Samhain Discussion Evening. Come along to learn about the history and mystery surrounding Samhain (Halloween). Discuss your feelings, views and thoughts on the Pagan New Year! Enter your carved pumkins in our "Best Carved Pumpkin" competition!
September 2004 - Witchcraft Themed Pub Quiz hosted by Gypsie. Pub quiz styled questions on popular culture, TV, radio, general knowledge and mythology.
August 2004 - Witchcraft Swap Shop. An opportunity to swap unwanted books, crystals, cards and jewellery with other people.
July 2004 - General Open Discussion Evening. Come along to have a chat and a laugh with like minded people. A humourous and interesting evening guaranteed.
June 2004 - Cancelled. A London Underground strike stopped play.
May 2004 - Egyptian Belly Dancing Workshop with Galatea. Come and get a taste of Egyptian dance. Please wear loose clothing, bring a scarf to tie around your hips. You should wear soft shoes or you can dance bear foot. Men and women are welcome.
