A Brief History of LondonWitch

In February 2003 a new gathering was born. A small group of members of the online community "The Children of Artemis" met for the first time in Finchley Road, north London.

Over time they drifted southwards and finding themselves in Farringdon they became the official CoA Central London Moot.

As the number of people coming along grew and old familiar faces moved on, the moot moved between a few different pubs trying to find a long term home.

During the autumn and winter of 2005 the moot became an independent gathering rather than being closely affiliated with a single organisation.

On the 21st February 2006, the first gathering in it's current location - The Artillery Arms - was held and it's new independence along with it's third birthday was celebrated with much drinking and eating.

The LondonWitch gathering had come of age...
